After years of travelling on the Continent and having a love of all things Italian, it was only a matter of time before the dream of owning a Piaggio Ape van, would become a reality. It was never the fancy Italian cars that stirred the same emotions, but rather seeing some little old rusty Piaggio parked up on the side of the road….even if it was at the mercy of overgrown plants or rust decay. Prosecco of course, came along with Italian family holidays, surrounded by the fragrances of figs, lemon blossom and fresh herbs. Whenever and wherever possible and regardless of the weather, if my family and I could recreate those same feelings and memories, by enjoying a glass of crisp, fragrant Prosecco, along with scrumptious Italian culinary delights, we would find ourselves in a little bit of heaven. It is perfect that I can now combine both Prosecco with an Ape’ van and be able to create new memories for myself and of course, others, by sharing two of life’s little pleasures.
A lot of love and care has gone into creating Poco Prosecco and a van that is reminiscent of times gone by, with class and elegance, that pairs well with Prosecco. We strive for excellence and will work alongside you, to help make your event just that little bit more special. We are based in Edinburgh, Scotland, but are able to travel, should your special occasion be based elsewhere. Every event will benefit from having our little Italian Prosecco van present, be it your wedding, a corporate function, a sports event or some other special occasion…but of course, you don’t really need an excuse to drink Prosecco.
Our Prosecco (DOC)/ Frizzante’ is made from 100% Glera grapes, grown in the Veneto region of North East Italy. Dating back at least 2,000 years, Prosecco wine was familiar to the Romans under the name of Puccino. Like all good things, there are regulations guarding the authenticity of the product. If Prosecco is served out of a container that is larger than 3L, by law it must not be called Prosecco, although it is exactly the same product, made in the same way, with the same grapes, ours just being filled into larger kegs. For this reason, we have ‘Frizzante’ on the dispensing taps and we can therefore serve it on tap.
Please use our contact page to get in touch and we can begin to plan how Poco Prosecco can be part of your special occasion.
